| VIRTUAL TOUR: THE FIFTIES RODMAN GUN |

Standing in stark contrast to the supersonic, radar guided Nike Ajax missiles deployed
on Sandy Hook during the mid Fifties, this historic Rodman smooth bore cannon was displayed
near the north end of Fort Hancock, beyond Officer's Row. Sandy Hook was once the
location of the nation's first artillery proving ground. The impressive Rodman gun can still
be seen by visitors to Fort Hancock.
